Abstract
Hedonism behavior to flexing is part of the consumer behavior theory. Where hedonism and flexing existed from the time of the prophet Muhammad to the present. Even the phenomenon affects not only the elite but also the lower middle class as well. Despite the social media that has now spread around the world with its users, perception and public opinion have nonetheless contributed to the growth. However, it is undeniable that it is also an effect of capitalism's economic system. The purpose of this research is to analyze capitalism's economic impact on hedonism and flexing and how according to the islamic perspective. The method used was qualitative research methods with analysis approaches. The results of this study are negative effects on individuals going through such cultures, effects that the senses can manifest are those of psychological and behavioral patterns. Because the obvious perception that arises regarding the purpose of life is pleasure, if it is not satisfied it causes anxiety, in which behavior repeats itself over and over, whereas its attitude pattern also emerges in its need of materialization.
