Abstrak
This article aims to explain the early development of Islamic economics over time. The method used is descriptive qualitative with information from various sources, such as: Holy Quran, Hadith, history books, and several articles that have been published in scientific journals. The early period of Islamic economics was a very important period because it became the foundation of subsequent periods. The early period of Islamic economic history began in the time of the Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) until about the 14th century CE and the present period in this contemporary era.
